At the age of 15 I began my first "diet". I failed. Until April 28,2015 I had failed repeatedly. I am 58 years old. During my years of struggle I had hoped and prayed for a "magic pill". I have found it in The Anderson Method. My excess weight is falling off and I will NEVER diet again! Give yourself the gift of freedom. Awaken from the food nightmare. Read the book.
A great book. All I can say is you have to read it to understand. It's worth your time and it's life-changing.
FORGET EVERYTHING YOU'VE HEARD BEFORE because, "The Anderson Method" is the most informative book and audio book u will EVER read. William Anderson gives the TRUE answers to killing addictions, that I believe doctors and therapists (that even specialize in Compulsive Overeating, Obesity, and other addictions) possibly DO NOT even know. And if they do know, I have never heard or seen them reveal it.
This small book is packed with a lot of good information. Most people who want to lose weight have tried just about every program out there, lose weight and then gain it all back and the cycle goes on and on. This program is different in that it deals with the important factor of changing habits that cause us to overeat. It gives a simple and reasonable eating style and then helps you get your brain in the right place so the plan works.
Being honest with yourself is critical to making this program work and Bill Anderson gives you cues to make it work.
The book needs to be re-read many times to be the most effective. I wish the book offered more references and resources, but that is just me,
Oh, and yes the Anderson Plan works. My weight is coming off and it is worth buying the book.
Seems to have the right idea of what makes people tick and how to change our bad habits, the way we perceive ourselves and the way we then eat to live to that perception. Hope it works for me, so far, so good.
Quick read, so something easy to go back to over and over as he suggests. Doesn't drone on and on about the same thing to make the book seem longer so people will buy it. Appreciate that fact. Also, doesn't tell you what to eat, only talks about how to deal with the why's and how's of eating. Different from other diet books in that aspect, tired of trying to cut out specific foods as those things have only worked in the short run for me (don't get me wrong, they work very well), just not something I seem to be able to do forever and I need the forever change.
OK. I knew to count calories, but William Anderson put it all together in an approachable way that I really relate to. I've been on his programme for 30 days and am now down 10 lbs. It's been easy and enjoyable and I feel in control of my eating in ways I've never felt before. I even enjoyed a nice Baskin Robbins ice cream without guilt or falling off my diet wagon. It's a quick read and you're ready to begin right then.
I found Mr. Anderson by way of his comments on NYT articles. I bought the book about three months ago and after reading it, I just made up my mind to lose the weight and haven't looked back. I feel so good and the weight is coming off just as promised. II can eat whatever I want, just within my under-eating parameters. I'm enjoying food more, without the guilt I used to feel. He lays out an impeccable system to lose weight. It is so simple yet I couldn't seem to put it together on my own over the past 30 years of being too fat. Many thanks to the author.
